EM3: Tendon

  • Tendon Stiffness
    • Tendon stiffness is commonly caused by Liver Blood Deficiency, Water Qi Excess, traumatic injury, and bone degeneration
    • Liver Blood Deficiency is a Chinese medical term for poor circulation to Liver and Gallbladder associated Tissue-Angles. Signs of Liver Blood Deficiency often include tendon and/or ligament pain, lightheadedness, blurred vision, and/or poor short term memory. Apply the Circulation Treatment to the Liver Array and Gallbladder Array to treat this
    • Water Qi Excess can get into soft tissues through trauma, pathogenic toxins, and from bone degenerating and its Water Qi migrating to the tissue immediately attached to it. Apply the Water Qi Excess Treatment to clear this. However, knowing the deeper cause of the Water Qi Excess is helpful in providing a more permanent positive impact
    • Traumatic injury allows for Water Qi or dampness from the external environment to get through the exterior fibers of the body and enter into the tissues. Apply the Water Qi Excess Treatment and the Clear Dampness Treatment to clear these factors. You will also want to apply the Inflammation Protocol
    • Bone degeneration can be caused by pathogens such as C. Difficile infecting osteoblasts. The Comprehensive Build Bone Treatment helps to attack these pathogens and also to restore Water Qi back into the bones to help them heal. Fungus can cause chips of bone to break off. Attack fungus associated pathogens and also apply the Broken Bones Treatment and the Clear Histio Bone Chips Treatment if necessary. Some pathogens generate Stomach Fire and/or Earth Qi Excess which can cause the bone to melt in one location and Yin (also known as Cold) Excess to develop nearby. The pathogens we associate with Chikungunya are particularly effective at this. The pathogens must be attacked. Also apply the Stomach Fire Array Treatment and the Earth Qi Excess Treatment where necessary. Clear the Water Qi Excess with the Water Qi Excess Treatment and also apply the EM Balance Yin and Yang Treatment where this Yin excess
  • Tendon Tear
    • At this moment, EM is unable to replicate the impact of surgical interventions. This means that a total tendon tear is completely out of the realm of EM to treat right now. Partial tears can be treated with limited success, since there is still no way to re-attach the torn fibers.
    • The EM Tighten Tissue Treatment can be used to help tighten partially torn tendons
    • Symptomatic relief is possible with the EM Inflammation Treatment, the EM Swelling Treatment, and, if necessary, the EM Pain Treatment (especially in acute circumstances)
